Title: Asteroids Cab

I have an asteroids cab that I am in the process of restoring for emulation. I am in need of a control panel and have been unable to find one. Does anyone know if a panel from any other game will fit an Asteroids cab? Any help would be gret.

I keep finding Asteroids Deluxe CP but they won't work. They are too small.

That should be an easy CP to find, that was a very high production cab.

First of all, no one likes to see a vector MAMEd.

Second, you didn't bother to mention what is wrong with the panel you have.

I got it as an empty cab and it didn't have a CP. It was gutted but the side art is near perfect. I have a MAME machine now but this cab will much more compact than my current and will take up less space.

I don't want to hack it to install a different CP. I went to the extent of buying a new marquee & bezel. I just need the CP.

I am somewhat attempting to save the cab not destoy it.

I simply don't understand your rant over me wanting to save a cab from being put in the trash and putting it back to the use it was intended for, entertaining.

All I am looking for is information. Is there another CP that will fit an Asteroids cab? If I were able to find an Asteroids CP that would put an end to my search. I live in Pittsburgh, PA and there are very few local sources. Already searched ebay and the normal boards...

Send him an email, he is currently selling off his stock to move into a new place.  I got an Asteroids Deluxe mirror from him, it took him a while to send it but it arrived in great shape.

What you said was "I've checked all the local sources" "I want alternate panels because I can't find an Asteroids" and haven't checked the regular places like Ebay and RGVAM.  It's a logical conclusion.

Anyway, that's my advice.  Buy a proper panel.  It's not the advice you want but it's a lot better than the silence you're getting from pertty much everyone else.

I did the same... the cab I used was about to be trashed also...
