the navy blue elements and the yellow elements all separated out.
the holes must be cut out
the stencils are printed on paper
the pages must be registered and stuck down ...?
and painted... ?
any advice would be well appreciated
btw have just finished restoring a lethal enforcers cpo
it was in baaaad shape and needed a lot of p-shop attention
imagine my surprise when i found one on classic arcade graphix dot com marvellous ::) only theirs is fully photographic and this one is treated , drawn over by the origianl namco artists
can anyone give me a pm and i'll up it to the site ?

I've done some stenciling but not on arcade machines. I did mine by printing out each color and then cutting out each stencil with an exacto knife. Then I used spray glue to make I didn't get any underspray. Then just spray the colors lightest to darkest. You might look into silk screening too if the design isn't too complicated. I've silk screened quite a few t-shirts and the process is pretty easy.
here is a picture of the above mentioned stencil:

I have already cut some posterboard stencils for Moon Patrol, and will be using them on my own MP very soon. Let me know if you'd like to buy them. I would have bought them if anyone else had made them first.

I have a couple pins I may repaint soon... so, you put the plastic onto the cab, cut out the color you want to repaint... then you put the plastic onto a piece of cardboard... spray paint the cardboard... and then cut the painted pieces out, thus ending up with a stencil?

the stargate cab is sweet,
and like chadtower i'm unclear about the actual stencil, is it only acetate or card only ...... or acetate stuck to card for rigidity ?
wade
thanks for the offer, i've got the art printed and half cutout now so i'll be doing that.
btw had a look at your site and thats a damn fine game room.. .
chadtower ... you could stick the plastic to the card and then cut the two together saving time ?
and my heart goes out to all my friends in london and everyone who has to live with the aftermath of today's terrible attacks

midway,
No problem, and thanks for the compliment on the gameroom.
Here is how I made the stencils. I put clear contact paper on the side of the game, and traced one color. Then I peeled it off and stuck it onto the posterboard, and used a knife to cut out the shapes. I did the same for the other color.
Here's a tip. You only need to make one set of stencils for one side, since the blue is an exact mirror image on both sides. Then for the yellow, if you make the words "Moon", "Patrol", "Williams", and the tank separate, you can also flip them and use them on both sides. Half as much cutting!
Good luck!
