OK that was seriously the lamest song and dance routine I have ever witnessed.  Halfway through, I stopped caring about this new, exciting advancements being made with hard drive technology because I felt as if I was some 8-year old kid being fed propaganda with music and animation from the minds of MBAs with no touch of reality and little respect for their customers' intelligence.  They could've just explained it with a few quick paragraphs - maybe a chart or two.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention, I now hate Hitachi on principal alone.

EDIT: (Overreacting?  Yeah.  I'm in a bit of a foul mood.)

I had to shut it down fairly quick, perhaps before they got around to explaining how you can possibly make a bit (electric charge) stand up.

If you ever start a company, or need cheap advertising, pay some kid $200 to make you flash animation of whatever you're selling. Retarded things like this spread so fast across the internet it's not even funny :P

I've seen this thing probably 20 times in the last 2 months across different forums and sites.

Some people seem to love flash animation regardless of content.  If they made a flash animation of a stick figure reading the phone book out loud, I'm sure at least 5 people would forward it to me with the subject line reading: "LOL! THIS IS HILARIOUS!"

So, I wonder if anyone could tell me how bits stand up without resorting to ripping off Schoolhouse Rock.

So, was this some insidious plan to give me an acid flashback?  :o
