Title: Help! Can you display windows in portrait orientation?
Post by: RetroBorg on December 05, 2002, 05:04:08 am
I am planning to make a cocktail cabinet with a 19 inch PC monitor mounted in portrait orientation rather than a landscape orientation as I like playing games like Pacman, Galaga, Mr. Do! etc. which are vertical games, but it occured to me that windows etc would be displayed in landscape mode. Is there a way to change it so everything is in portrat mode? ???

You can use a commercial program for this purpose or, if you have a Radeon 7200 card, this feature is included in the driver for free.

For additional details and comments, check out a thread I started a few weeks ago on this subject.

If you have a nVidia chipset on your video card (e.g. any GeForce type), their newest Dentonator drivers (www.nvidia.com) have built in support for Windows in Portrait mode.
