Title: Is it possible to frankenstein a 25" WGD9200?
Post by: krick on May 25, 2005, 01:57:18 am
I'd really love a WG D9200 but a 27" unit is just too large to fit in my current cabinet.

Does anybody know if it's possible to mate the "guts" of a WG-D9200 with a 25" tube and chassis and have it work properly?

If it can be made, I'd be willing to pay for such a beast.

I asked wells gardner about this once and they said no.  Of course who really knows if they said that just because the don't sell it like that. :P  If I were rich I'd give it a shot, but it would be a pricey mistake to ruin the chassis trying it out.

I just sent them another email asking about a multi-frequency 25" monitor (I asked them about a year ago too) and they came back with the same response, (paraphrased) "we're working on one and it should be available soon".  I should press them for an actual date.

It should be trivial for them to make.
