Title: G-Loc or Golden Axe II??
Post by: clanggedin on May 23, 2005, 11:12:11 am
I have been fixing 2 monitors for a guy who picked up 8 cabs for $100 from a guy. Only one of them powered up completely. For fixing these monitors he is offering me my choice of G-Loc upright or Golden Axe II in a dynamo cab. Golden Axe II will be easier to find parts for, but G-Loc has flight controls that can't be fully replicated in MAME.

Which one should I pick??

From a collector standpoint, I'd take the G-Loc.  Golden Axe is a common game, and can be handled in MAME, or you can just swap a PCB into another cab to play it.  G-Loc you'll only get to play if you've got the actual game.

Of course, if you regularly have three other guys at your house, you might prefer the 4-player action on the Axe.  Or maybe you just don't care for flight sims.

Plus, I notice your avatar...
