what is the point of this?

you'd think if they were going to all that trouble they would use a tripod, just my 2 cents....

what is the point of this?
sigh. "Art" just died a little inside.
It's the exploration of space, hidden spaces. It's artistic expression in public spaces, where the art would otherwise be removed or destroyed. It's "creative vandalism". It's Art...and it's doesn't have to make any sense to you, or anybody else for that matter. That's the beauty of it.
Doesn't it (at least) spark your curiosity and/or imagination enough to make you wonder what might actually be hidden behind those drab paintings in your next motel room? (Besides hidden cameras) ;)

I don't know about art but I'm pretty sure Holiday Inn is going to be just a little peeved.

That's pretty cool. Reminds me of a guy I used to work with, he was a painter in both senses of the word. We both worked for a commercial real estate developer, doing office and shopping center renovation work.
His artwork is hidden in the walls of all the properties we worked on, as he'd paint them on the backside of the sheetrock before the other side had been covered.

Pointless...maybe. But hella cool for sure. A lot of the tattoos were far better art than the "art" that hid them. Hmmm...now where did I put those paint brushes??? ;D

I wish I had that kind of free time on my hands. From now on I look behind every picture everywhere I go.
