Title: epic pinball with win xp?

I was trying to get some old software to run on xp.  Am I wasting my time?  I configured the setup proggie in a dos window...but all I get is a black screen.....epic was one of my favs in it's day.  I thought it was maybe the sound so I set it up with no sound...and get the same result.....it's been too long since I had to configure anything in dos....I thought about a dual boot with dos...any ideas?  Anybody got any legacy software running in their cabs?

oh yes, I love them pinball games. Lots of DOS programs cannot run under XP, thats why I run my cab in pure DOS. I also got Dragon's Lair PC-DOS running in my cab, along with those Epic Pinball games...
