Why does it need to be in a batch file?  Can't you just make a shortcut and put it in your StartUp group (or even better, HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run)?

It seems to me that that would solve your problem.

Here's my question: why are you using Windows XP to run Pac-Man?  You can run that easily with DOS and much lesser hardware.  Or do you just want to boot to Pac-Man, and run other games after?

Peale, Not using DOS this time,i will not buy any cheap sound card.

For windowsXP what i have done is make that autoexex.bat file as windows SHELL.

Dos box still comes up and annoy me everytimes.

I used NLITE utility to shrink WindowsXP Backup 500+MB to 140MB.
now it boots and run more faster than win98.

on my puter there's an option in the bios to show startup screen or show a boot logo....you could make your own boot logo and have it show on startup.  I think it needs to be 16 colors and 640x480 tho....someone correct me if I'm wrong....
