Ok, I'm considering this artwork complete but I thought I'd post it to see if there are any suggestions. It is a complete rippoff of Rayb's artwork a while back. I really liked that, as you can see. It will have Randy's translucent green balltops and a green TB. I sure wish I could light the joys.

Lighting balltops is possible, if very difficult. It would depend on being able to accurately drill a hole down the centre of th shaft. Not impossible but tricky without a well equipped machine shop. It might be more feasible to machine an eclip groove and thread the end on a tube of suitable size.
-
Well you know what they say about imitation... :)
-
It is a nice cpo, can it be made in blue.
-
Sure it could be. Rayb's was blue. My only contribution was to add 3D and glassy effects.

I would call a few local machine shops and find one with a lathe. Unscrew the ball from the shaft and take it personally to the shop. They might just do it for a few bucks while you wait.

Nice CPO.
Don't forget that slikstik announced lighted ball tops a month or so ago and they convienently have green. May have to wait a bit for availibility, but if you want them it'll be worth the wait. Randy's look nice as well.
BTW, How's the Green TB lighted up look?
-
man that would look sweet with some green translucent rotary balltops ;)

Nannuu's got mad skillz. that is gonna be one sweet cab. working on modding the second one now...
BTW, you really can't drill down on the versa balls, and replacing the tops is impossible. plus now that they are rotary, the wires up through the center would just get twisted. but if you forgo the rotary attachment...lightup handles would be SWEET. too bad SlikStik left us hangin with his announcement.

Well, if SlikStik's where colored when they weren't lighted they would be awesome. I just don't like the thought of having milky white sticks when the cabinet is turned off. The TB isn't in yet, so I don't know how it looks.
Tommy,
I can make up a Blue one as well. What secondary color do you want?
-
I like it! I might have to rip it off myself! This is eerily similar to the Control panel I'm designing, except with a 7 button layout. I'm even planning on the curved front. Can you share the dimension?
-
Yep, it is 24" wide and 12" deep. The controls are a little tight but it should work. Tried not to Frank it up too much but it's hard not to add wanted games to the list.
-
Nannuu, 2 shades of blue or a white and blue is fine, no TB, and only a one player cpo if you can, you can leave the buttons layed out like that but just center everything as a 1player would be, then it would need to be

SlikStik now has (or is close to having) lighted balltops:

Tommy, no problem. If you don't mind waiting I will do it for free. Since most of it is done anyway it shouldn't take long.
That is actually a 3" trackball. It'll be pretty close under the panel!
KM, those are cool lighted sticks but I don't like that they are white when turned off. I'd prefer to have colored sticks to keep the oooo factor even when nothing is running.

Thanks for the free offer, but id like to pay you anyway.
Im still a long way from needing the cpo, i just wanted to know where i would get it when the time came, no rush.
