Could someone please tell me what the "Auto Launch Apps" option in the 0000.ini file is meant for? I notice that when I have it set to 1 it will launch Arcade Jukebox (which I have set as app #1) when I select a game with the "1" key. When it's set to 0 it works as expected - ie it only launches AJ when I press the key that I defined as app1 launch.
Is there any good reason you'd want an external application to launch at the same time as MAME?
Just curious ;)

Yeah, that "Auto Launch Apps" option is a comma-delimited list of app numbers ("1,3,2" for example) you want to launch automatically before launching a game.
One example is if you want to auto launch CPViewer to show the controls for the game right before you go into it.
Another might be to use the GPWiz49 utility to flash your GPWiz49 to the correct joystick sheme for the selected game before launching it.
That sort of this :)

Ah gotcha, thanks. By the way that little utility of yours makes everything a breeze. Top notch work there (and why doesnt EVERY programmer use that context help system and nice detailed tooltips?)
So far this is my only real complaint about Mamewah. There would be a lot fewer questions and hair pulling if the various ini files were well commented. For an example of how to do that perfectly take a look at Daniel Noguerol's Emuwizard. The ini file IS the documentation!
