Title: strange csync problem
Post by: kenzo42 on April 14, 2005, 12:43:39 am
hi, when i hook up vsync and hsync for composite, i don't get a picture. when i hook up one, without the other, a picture is displayed but one of the syncs are off.

the hsync by itself gave me a green picture, with it moving vertically.
the vsync by itself looked better colorwise, but it was moving horizontally.

why won't it do comp. sync??? my board on the mother board on says RGBHVG, but there is no wire running out from the V. i'm at my wits end! thanks.

It's a nanao 29". It was a bad connection. Now that a picture is present, it is almost all blue. Are the things that make RGB in a monitor (tube?) known to go bad?

I have a vga cable and for each RGB wire, it has 3 layers. There are like 5 strands in the center, a rubber like insulation, and the outside layer is encircled with a bunch of strands.

I'm wondering if the outside strands touch the inside strands, would this cause maybe what i'm experiencing? I'm sorry i can't test this. The cabinet is next door at my brothers.

Dave_k, if you read this too, I apologize for the repost in your email. I'm a little eager to get an answer tonight if possible, thus my re-post in the forums.

thanks all.
