Title: PC Monitor fading
Post by: cholin on April 13, 2005, 01:57:17 pm
I bought a new computer, so I forgot about this problem, but I just thought about you guys ;D  Heres the problem:

You're playing a nice game of umm, lets say, Counterstrike. (not really, the computer is only 350 mhz).  All of a sudden, the screen starts fading to black.  It gets darker and darker until the entire screen just blans out.  This happens at random times, and the screen is a green Acer one that I got in.....1996?

Why?

First, make sure that powersave mode that involves screen blanking is not turned on in the Windows Control Panel.  If this is not the case, you may have a problem with the video card or monitor.

I have a feeling it's just the monitor, and some sort of connection has come loose during the last 10 years :P
