I've never actually played an arcade game that uses a trackball before. I've seen them at many places before, but I've never played them. Since many people seem to be putting trackballs on their arcade cabinets, I can't help but wonder what all the fuss is about. So what are some must-play trackball arcade games?
-
Just to name a few:
Missile Command
Centipede
Millipede
Golden Tee Golf
World Class Bowling
-
OK, I downloaded them, thanks. :)
-
For some reason in missile command and the golf game, I can't figure out how to get the mouse to work. The ones that worked with the mouse were pretty fun though. Maybe I'll consider adding a trackball to my cabinet eventually.

I like Simpsons Bowling.. If your computer can handle it :)

I built my cabinet for Crystal Castles - which you can LEGALLY download here (http://www.starroms.com/games/0001/ccastles.php).
:police:
I like Simpsons Bowling..

Yeah, I know there are probably better bowling games.. But I like the "special frames" and the added stuff... :) Fun game to play with friends, anyways :)

Simpsons bowling looks cool but has almost NO sound?
-
Marble Madness is another A+ trackball game.

Make sure that you enable mouse input.

Simpson's Bowling would be the best IF the sound was working!
World Class Bowling is great ... Shuffleshot, eh? ... Golden Tee, of course ... Kick (with the clown) is fun...
My kids like Where's Waldo....
Surf....

QUANTUM
And while it's probably better suited to a spinner than a trackball, I do love the feel of CAMEL TRY with a trackball.

Shuuz is a great game (drinking or not) with a bunch of people--and a great trackball game.

Clarification: There is sound, it's just foobared most of the time. But I never played the game in the arcade so I actually kind of like how it sounds. It's all hectic and repeating, reminds me of some electronic music that I might dance to - if so inclined.

I can't believe I forgot about marble madness! I'd play it more if only i had a second trackball.

For that matter I think Pachinko Sexy Reaction plays a lot better with a trackball (over buttons or joysticks), if you don't have a paddle.
Golden Tee, of course ... Kick (with the clown) is fun...
I have yet to find a Golden Tee that I like. They were all added relatively recently. Which version has a clown? I'd like some lovable characters to spice up the doldrum that is golf.
One last game: Rampart. Some people like it, I can't seem to maneuver my pieces well with the trackball. With my settings it's like playing Tetris except your joystick is broken. :( If I could figure out why my trackball doesn't respond well in that game it might be fun.

Capcom bowling is a good game also.

Irritating Maze is a great one
-
Irritating maze, eh? Hmm... They could have chosen a better name. ::)

Hamsterball!!! It's a PC game, and plays just like Marble Madness. Great fun.
