Basically they hacked a NES controller and created a huge 8ft by 4 ft table sized controller. It looked really cool, just like a replica. Then they played a game of Super Mario Bros with one guy controlling the dpad and the other using the a and b buttons. It was hilarious watching them play.

I would like to see the internals of that controller. It must have some pretty big springs.

When I first read this, I pictured in my mind a controller so big, they were jumping around on it using their feet to activate the buttons. Still after seeing the pic it looks cool, but I would have made it bigger.

;D That's the exact picture I had in my mind too.
That thing is completely pointless...which is why it is cool!

It looks big enoug t o use that way if it were on the floor. In any case, I agree, pointless, but cool.

The Screen Savers is utter crap since Patrick & Leo were canned.

i like Kevein Rose, but he was better with Patrick.

Long fan of Leo.  Leo made ZDTV \ TechTV

I was opposed to the change from Leo and Patrick to Kevin and Alex Albrecht ... but, despite my effort to NOT like the change, I actually really dug it.  I found Alex to be a genuinely funny guy.. and even though the show was not the same show it once had been (and it bugged me how they had completely alienated some of their audience).. I liked it MORE.  I watched it every day.  I even tivo'd it if I wasn't going to be home.

Then they canned Alex.. Yoshi, etc. and brought in some stiffs...

And that was it for me.

I watched it once.. and haven't gone back.  Not because I thought that boycotting the show was the 'right' thing to do.  No..  I just thought it sucked.

You mean how G4 completely and utterly destroyed all that was good and entertaining on TechTV? and how they didn't even bring over Tech Live or Call for Help?  Or how they dropped TechTV in the name?  Or how they pissed on the grave of TTV... metaphorically speaking?

Yeah... it kinda ticked me off.

Although I will agree, I did grow to like Kevin and Alex Albrecht... it was the only saving grace of the merger.

haha thats awesome. Reminds me of this project i saw on the internet of these guys making a giant life sized working game boy. It was about 5 feet tall and was pretty cool. Dont remember if they ever got it working. I am trying to find a link but cant get one, anyone else remember seeing this?

I loved TechTV before G4 took over.  Now all the shows are like glorified informercials.   :'(

Kevin Perera is too much of a DORK. Half the time he doesn't know crap about whatever's being discussed (especially if it's even the slightest bit technical) and even if it's Games, he's hardly the expert he should be. And then he acts like things that we geeks love are really lame, like he's "too cool" for silly or geeky things (yet he's a big skinny dork).

On one episode he showed his laptop, and the guy is running BONZI BUDDY fer crissakes! That's how much of a goof he is. UGH!

I really, really miss Fresh Gear. As for Attack of the Show, I actually like about 10-15 minutes of it. The rest I just skip through on my TIVO.
