This is my first post so I guess I should say hello - hello!!
I'm currently in the planning stages for my arcade cab. I'm intending to house about 4 consoles in the cab and have the controllers hooked up like this:
http://mywebpages.comcast.net/jdpyle1/construction.htm
and have two DB25 switchers.
I'm going to use a 25" TV for the screen.
So far i'm working out the dimensions of the cab and would be greatful if anyone has any examples of a hinged door beneath the control deck in order to gain easy access to the consoles.
Thanks

Your control panel looks great so far.

Thats exactly what i'm after. I'm aiming to put a false coin mechanism on the front just to re-create the illusion too. What size monitor are you putting in there? I need mine to be quite wide to house the four (maybe five consoles) and the control boxes.
Thats not my controller though, its just the example i'm going to pinch and hopefully recreate. All i've done so far is a bit of pre-planning.

The cabinet is only 24.5" wide, but I could easily fit 5 consoles in there in addition to the PC (though you can get away with three consoles if you emulate the rest). I'm using a 17" LCD that fits the cabinet pretty well.

Props for the PS2 interface. That's pretty badass.

The consoles i'm going for are a Dreamcast, a PS2 (PS1 games will work from this) and a XBox which i'm hoping to run MAME and some NeoGeo roms from.

Clean, neat wiring...looks good! And that wiring 'key' for all of the console pads is sweet: great reference to have for future projects...

Ok, plans have changed somewhat drastically - its getting more expensive!!!
Basically I want to get hold of a candy cab to house a Neo-Geo MVS 4 slot board. However I also want to be able to have it play CPS1/2 games via the same the control panel, is this possible? or has anyone tried this before. If theres space I would also like the option to house an XBox (for MAME and other emulators), a DC (if I can't afford some PCB's) and a PS2 (for completeness sake).
...And if the Atomiswave ever gets any decent games that could go in too. Does this sound realistic or should I try and split this configuration between two Candy Cabs. Obviously its going to be a while before anything like this happens, but money is being saved as we speak ;D
thoughts?

I used to play NEO GEO and cps2 games on my cab, your just going to have to pick a button layout that you think is best, NEO uses the five buttons in a row ,and some cps2 games like the streetfighter vs games need 3 top 3 bottom style.
