First, my current set-up. ArcadeOS running DMAME on pure DOS.
My problem is that I cannot get ArcadeOS to run roms that DMAME can run perfectly fine on my machine. I checked the paths in the arcadeos.cfg file and everything seems okay, and ArcadeOS does find the romsets and lists them, but everytime i go to launch a game, it comes up with errors.
Am I missing something else? Do I need to make Merged Romsets = YES???
Any help appreciated.
Thanks

What is the errors you get?
Can you run in dos something like:
dmame pacman
?

Its come up with the standard errors typical when you run a romset that is corrupt or not valid - about 4-5 different error messages.
However, when running DMAME directly it works . . .
For example,
dmame mspacman -soundcard 1
or
dmame gyruss
My DOSMAME is loaded into directory C:\DOSMAME while AdvMAME is loaded into directory C:\MAME
The arcadeos.cfg file directs everything to c:\DOSMAME, but maybe there is something else it doesn't like about that directory.

You just answered your question right there. Arcadeos must have a directory called c:\mame with all your mame software and advance mame. For some reason, (I expect hardcoding), Arcadeos cannot run mame without it being in this directory. I had problems with this before and decided not to fight it anymore. Make a Mame directory and copy everything there and reinstall Arcadeos.

Thanks. When I originally installed the Fraggal Boot CD, it installed ArcadeOs and AdvMame in C:\MAME. I then installed regular DOS Mame into a directory called C:|DOSMAME and configured arcadeos.cfg file to run everything from there. But i guess as you say, it doesn't like it. I'll re-install everyting tomorrow and install Dos Mame into C:\MAME
Yeah, the errors I get are:
ROMS not found, etc.... even though they are there.
Thanks again

I notice that 61.4 of advmame also has a small bug in the cfg file. Make sure it is pointing to ROMS and not ROM for the directory name.
