Title: 19K7602 Chassis Vertical Deflection Problem
Post by: Mikew88 on March 19, 2005, 11:04:44 pm
Ok, I have a 19k7602 chassis which was working just fine when i played it last week. The picture was kind of squished on the sides so i wanted to adjust the width coil, right next to the width coil it sparked. And the vertical deflection went out. All i have now is a horizonatl line going through the monitor. I have checked Randy Fromm's Flowchart, which told me to replace C50, R91, and Q9. I did that and the picture is still the same. Any Suggestions on how to fix this bad boy?

Thanks

This chassis is well known for numerous bad solder joints (the width coil's soldering should be checked) all over the board. Chances are you may need a capkit (if one has not been done recently) and it's possible the vertical output IC (IC3) is toast.
