Title: U3100 Screen Flip
Post by: chuckaroo2000 on March 15, 2005, 11:13:12 pm
I got my 19" WG U3100 monitor mounted in my cocktail cabinet.  Everything is great but I need the screen flipped 180 degrees.  I can't just rotate the tube because a couple of wires would be too short.  If I were just going to use MAME it wouldn't be a problem.  I have a side control panel and I want my screen orientated that way for things other than MAME.  Someone told me I just had to change a couple of wires on the monitor and that would flip my screen.  Anyone heard of this?  Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Frank

swapping the green/yellow, red/blue wire pairs from the yoke to the chassis will flip your image. There's a (very recent) post about it here:

I should have search the topic first.  MonitorGuru stated in that thread that this could result in a slightly different colored/ converged picture or some other undesirable effect.  Has anyone had good luck doing this and had NO noticeable effects?

Thanks,

Chuck
