anyone know of a program to organize snes roms by country japan, usa, ect? or to just flat out delete all but the US ones?
-
Good Tools (http://www.mameworld.net/easyemu/gtguide.htm)
-
I keep my SNES roms on these printed circuit boards that come in nice plastic cases with pretty printed labels. They even have the name of the game and some artwork on them, it's pretty cool.
-
thanks hoagie, but i have those tools already and I'm not sure how to seperate my roms based on country into folders. When you have time would you mind posting some instructions, the site wasn't clear, or maybe i'm reading things wrong or making it more complicated?
and i also keep my snes games on circuit boards with artwork and cases and manuals and boxes too! oh wow! if i said something smart assed like that i'd get banned again...
-
Nah, we only ban people around here for misspelled usernames.
-
I used the Goodgui tool. Once it was configured, I just renamed the roms, and picked them to be put into a different directory. Easy.
-
thanks i'll try that...
as for the guy saying it's not spelled correctly, you are a month behind... get with the times!
-
A month! So somehow I've managed to catch up 15 years recently... awesome.

DOS command prompt:
MOVE **.*
DEL *hack*.*
that sort of thing. It works wonders.
-
DEL *hack*.*
That one will save you a good deal of time and trouble. It's suprising how many crappy hacked ROMs are out there cluttering rom collections.
del *[h*.* works well on a GoodTools named set.

but that would get rid of some of the better hacks (like techmo bowl has some hacks which have updated rosters, the panthers/jaguars added, college teams, etc)
