Title: Vertical monitor on Windows easy and free!!
Post by: android on November 07, 2002, 01:56:54 am
I've read about some utility that people use to rotate the monitor 90 deg. Well, I just discovered a neat feature of my ATI Radeon 7200: there's a button in the driver to rotate the monitor 90 degrees. Free and painless.

Any Info to confirm this?  How about pictures?  If this is possible then my next video card is this for my cocktail cabinet.

From what I understand, the latest Detonator drivers allow Nvidia cards (Geforce, etc.) to do this. Most card manufactures are putting this feature in their drivers, since LCDs are getting cheaper, and are easy to rotate. (No worries about magnetic inference, and all you need physically is a pivot point)

I'll try out the newer Detonator drivers once I get Windows reinstalled on my AthlonXP machine.

The newest ATI Control Panel (6.13.10.3027) does have a rotate option.  I have used it on the Radeon All in Wonder, and the Radeon Mobility 7500 just fine.
