Title: Video card died
Post by: vader on March 12, 2005, 01:02:21 am
Have a Radeon 9800pro that died recently....about a month ago.....well....initially did all the normal troubleshooting bs and nothing worked....then I looked on top of my sound card...and there lies the video card fan... :o, I got no life out of it so I figure before trying to power it up, I go up to CompUsa and get another fan/heatsink and put that on....so yep, this voids my warranty and it still don't work.  ANy thing I can look for that I can replace or did it most likely overheat the GPU ?

Thanks

Tim

Ive got a quick fix for you but it might not be very legal , buy the same card and put your old card in the new box and return it.
