Title: Ms. Pacman Mini Cab
Post by: dgo on March 10, 2005, 09:59:04 am
Hi all,

I've been happily lurking around these excellent boards and now I wanted
to share my latest project with you guys and now formally join this community :)

It's a 50% scale built from scratch Ms. Pacman/Galaga style cabinet.
For starters, I first built a 1/10th scale model.

A complete progress report can be found on my regular board, AtariAge @ http://www.atariage.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=65006

Please let me know what you think and please post any questions and comments you might have.

LOL... it looks like a regular machine with GIANT buttons and a HUGE stick!

Great job man!

Thanks. And yes those standard controls look pretty big on this scale  ;D

Initially I was searching for a mini joy +buttons to get everything in the right scale, but I failed to find any suitable so I settled for these. Eventually I might redo that control panel IF I ever find small sized controls.

However, for this Ultimarc T-Stik Plus (4/8 way switchable from the top, very convenient) I did order a ball knob more like the original style cab. I should receive those next week together with an I-Pac2 so I can actually play this baby. (As mentioned in the AA forum, the X-Gaming adapter I;'m using now is incompatible with this mainboard.

Hey dgo, glad to see you decided to show off your little cab here too. I still think it's just super spiffy. :)

Hi Stingray, thanks again.

If there's one place to show off your dyi cab, it's over here! I've looked thru so many projects
over here, it's nice to share my own.

btw The artsite you suggested looks good. I might give that one a try.
