Title: Add Movies To Mamewah HELP!
Post by: M.A.M.E Power on March 06, 2005, 07:27:19 pm
To all you clever people!

I am using the latest version of Mamewah and have really enjoyed configuring it to load different emulators. My question relates to the movie option where do the movies play?

Do they act as a screen saver like on an actual arcade machine? Also what movies do you play? Any movies or can it be set up to play indivdual movies for each game like the gameshots?

Any advice is welcome and some pointers on how to extract movies from the games or download games movies from the web would also be useful.

Thanks all

Lea

you can use the movies 2 ways: to replace the snaps and in the screensaver.

To use them as snaps, they must be name the same as the rom, just like the snaps

For the screensaver, it doesn't matter, any movie in the directoy will be player. you need to set up a screensaver layout just like you would for a screensaver that would show snaps

Hi

Thanks for the pointers if I want to have my favorite games with videos is there any way of getting these from the roms?

If not do you know where I can get these videos? What format do they have to be in?

Thanks

Lea

Check out this thread:

Allows you to extract the attract movies from any rom you want, including all of them...
One of the greatest inventions since sliced bread IMHO  ;)

Hi

Will try and configure this tomorrow, being relatively new to MAME I am taking each step at a time. Will this allow you to have movies instead of game shots then?

If so how big is the file likely to be?

Thanks
