http://imbnes.gamebase.ca/
this site has an NES emulator for use on ps1
someone said you can boot the ps2 with a psone game and switch them out so it will run the emualtor, i only have 1 burnable cd and no money for more, i wanted to confirm that it will in fact run on one of the new ps2 systems without a mod chip if i boot a psone game and switch them...
anyway, my problem is getting it to boot with no extra money... so if anyone can help that'd be awesome... anyone have experience with this?

Without some kind of swap tool or a modchip, you can't just boot a disc up with a PSone game. Once you eject the tray, they system will restart itself with a new disc in the tray.
If you had a slide tool or similar, you can do it.

Okay, I downloaded a disk that allows you to swap games. Its origionally a DVD thing to launch DVDs but you can launch games too, which is how I load burned PS2 games ( I own the origional :P ). When I open it, the screen says something like DVDregionx or something like that, so look it up. What it does is take over your boot sequence, so that the PS2 realizes a game, THEN you are free to do what you wish. Dont think this will help, but thats your boot tool.

but how does that negate the fact that hitting eject will re-initialize the boot sequence if it is a different disc? I've never heard of a way to do that with just a disc.. it was my understanding that it didn't exist.

No, because you dont hit eject.

the slide card jacks your disk tray all to hell, but i have a slim ps2 so that won't do it anyway, it's no big deal, i've given up..
