Title: Mamewah error with movie screensaver?

When I have the screensaver in mamewah 1.61 set to movies it will eventually error out and shutdown mamewah after the screensaver runs for awhile.  It does not specify exactly what the error is.  All I get is the message box in win xp that says mamewah.exe has encountered a problem and asks whether u want to send microsoft a message or not.

The movies I use are created from mame moviemaker using the xvid codec.  While the screensaver runs it looks great, I just wish it wouldn't error out, or at least I wish I knew what was causing it.  I assume all the videos are good since they were all made the same way.  I really don't have the time to go thru each one and make sure due to the amount of them there are.

Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks

I think Minwah is out for awhile so I don't think I will get an answer anytime soon.  Just curious if anyone else had the same problem with the movie screensaver?

Look in the log file, I had it doing this with some strangely encoded videos, and he put in more logging where you at least should see which movie crashed it.

Thanks for the response.  I didn't see anything in the logfile suggesting which video crashed it?

I had the exact same problem until I upgraded to the newest verion of Mamewah.  I know you've already stated that you're using 1.61.  However, just to be sure, have you tried re-installing the .exe and reconfiguring a fresh mamewah.ini.  Couldn't hurt.

I had the problem with some DivX encoded videos. I didn't know Minwah added more logging info though so maybe I'll look at that as soon as my cab is back together and I upgrade to the latest mamewah.
