Can you shed some light on what happened? It LOOKs like it melted, but that's JPGs for ya... did it shatter? How did that happen, was it glass instead of plexi?
-
it shattered into a thousand pieces. the original dig dug marquees are glass. i paid the guy $20 for shipping for the marquee, wire harness, audio board, and manuals. the actual shipping total was $11.83!!! the guy did not get insurance on the package or even write fragile on the box, just shipped it parcel post. i've emailed him twice since saturday and he has not responded. i paid $40 for that marquee because it was in great shape, now i have a $40 box of broken glass. needless to say i am pissed.

i just got an email from the guy that sent me the marquee. he has another and is going to send it to me. so i am happy again. i just hope this one makes it here in one piece.

I'm curious, how exactly does one ship a glass product like that? Seems that you can pack it full of foam and stuff, but it could still break with one rough handling... You know shipping people (USPS, UPS, etc) literally throw packages... :-\
-
i think or hope that writing fragile on the box would stop them from thowing the package too much. it really is a crap shoot mailing anything made of glass.

im pretty sure if he writes 'CONTAINS GLASS PRODUCTS' on it there will be more chance it's handled more gently

well i got the replacement marquee and it was in one piece this time. he wrote fragile all over the box. now my dig dug is complete. ;D ;D ;D ;D
