Post by: SNAAAKE on October 21, 2002, 07:43:15 pm

I need to know somthing again :)

Once I get those down scan converters to run arcade monitors with windows.Would EGA medium resolutioln monitors also work or I must have CGA standard resolution monitor? ???

I am not quite sure but comon sence says YESSSS...I would work right? Somene please confirm this..thanks advance ;D

I am getting a new cab and that thing already has a EGA monitor in there and if i keep that and it works then great or I can tell the guy to replace it with a CGA monitor.I bet monitors gurus here knows how things work :D.

Sorry Snake, but the Super Emotia you were looking at only offers 15Khz output.  This is the frequency of standard television/video production equipment.  The EGA(25Khz) market is quite small,  but there might be scan converters available somewhere.  I just don't know where.

I don't know of ANY scan converters that do EGA (25khz).  Stay away from these monitors at all costs (most common ones I see are from sega virtual fighter cabs)...

I wish there was a solution as the WG monitor in one of my cabs can do both 15khz and 25khz.  Although the std res looks fine, I wonder how much better it would look at med res.
