Title: CD Changers for PSX, XBOX, or any other consoles?

I have looked everywhere to see if ANYONE has done this or is working on it.  Does anyone know if it can be done, has been done, etc?

Not possible, at least not for Xbox.

I don't know why it wouldn't be possible. If the PS2 can be made to load games off the hard drive with HDLoader/Advance then I don't see why it couldn't be made to load them from a CD changer. As far as I know there isn't one available, but I don't understnad the "not possible" comment.

There has been some discusson on this in he past, mostly around hacking a cd-changer to a Dreamcast.  Its just wishful thinking at this point (to much trouble hacking the changer mechanics with Dreamcast GD-Rom lens and motor).

But since the xbox uses standard IDE devices, I don't see why you couldn't find a PC dvd-changer and hook it up through the ide cable.

And exactly where do you get "PC DVD Changers?", I haven't been able to find them.  I remember Nakamichi used to sell a CD changer that fit in the regular 5.25" drive bay...

and where could i get my hands on a dreamcast CD changing prototype thing?  :o I MUST KNOW!   ;D

Umm, I never said there was a prototype.  As I stated above it was discussed, but never done.

couldnt you just grab a standard cd changer dismantle it and add an extension through a dreamcasts power cable?   ??? im going to look beyond in the universe known as google for this one... ^.<
