I was in your shoes not too long ago... all I can say is just try try try.. just find a pic, and try it out... you'll get better and understand things as you get going. thats the way I learned (and still am learning)
good luck. (and no, no other tutorials I know of)

Thanks for the reply. All I can do at this point is try! I find myself looking at everything I see and mentally vectorizing or un-vectorizing it! Crazy! I purchased Adobe Illustrator cs classroom in a book manual and hopefully that will get me going.

Yeah, that's a really good series of books. "Teach Yourself Visually" is another good series of books. I think they have an illustrator book.

the VTC video course, whilst expensive is *DAMNED* good and got me up to speed with AI in a morning... I'd bought a book before but taking text to mouse wasnt that hot... Learning the curve drawing is the tough part, everything else is a doddle.. However - a book i *excellent* to leaf thru (get one from the library) as you can quickly see all the useful tools there are in there!
Best of luck - perservence is the key - and dont tackle something huge first!
Regards
Rav

Do a search for vector graphics and PaintShop Pro. The commands are similar/same. Tutorialwise, it should help.
