I have 7000 series monitor and the picture is wavy. The best I can describe it is that it looks like a reflection on top of water that is rippling. The person I bought it from said it was called a 60Hz hum and that it could be easily fixed with a cap kit. I replaced the caps and the problem is still there.
In some games it is barely there but in others it is much worse. One thing I thought I would mention is the the power supply is located very close to the monitor. I didn't know if this could create the problem.
I have another question on this monitor and it has to do with the horizontal width coil. Exactly what do I need to use to adjust this?
Thanks in advance!

Your 'wave' problem may be what Randy Fromm's site says is 'doing the hula' symptom. Generally a bad voltage regulator IC or main filter cap cause this.
