I'm currently vectorising Red Monika (from Battlechasers). As usual I'll post updates in this thread.
After some attempts in AI, I went back to use Visio...
This image is more complex than my previous work ( car (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,21752.0.html), Timezone (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?board=13%3baction=display%3bthreadid=16195), Dangergirl Abbey Chase[url]) so it will probably take some more time between updates...

hmm, urls don't work.. dunno what happens there :(
-
I see a trend here. ;D
-
Battlechasers was a fun book. Whatever happend to it?
-
nice basketballs
;D
-
Yaay!!! Felsir, you have a cult following...

I believe the artist, Joe Madureira, decided to start his own publishing company Coldfusion (http://www.coldfuzionstudios.com/). From what I understood it had something to do with the publishing rights, DC comics owns the title but no title can be published without Joe's permission or so. It's kind of a stalemate where neither can continue the series. Anyway, both moved on to other projects. Too bad since it was a cool series (both story and art-wise).

Update:
-
And again an update
-
I can see which part of that image is most important to you... ;)
haha.
Good work! I wish I had the time to get into that stuff... Keep it up!
-
He's going to end up putting all these girls as side art on his "Babecade". ;D
-

haha.
uh... the face was most important... well I could mention that the bust had lots of difficult colours and shading techniques so it was the most challenging part to vectorise (I already did complex shapes in hair when I vectorised the Abbey Chase image), but probably noone would believe that
-
I'm not sure if it's my obsession or my imagination, but the boobs look bigger in the latest sample. Either way top notch job!

They're the same size in both samples... draw your own conclusions ;) (judging your avatar you probably already did...)
-
i like
you do good work
-
Minor update... I can only work on this picture during my breaks at work so every update is about 25-30 minutes of work.
-
This wip gets the Stingray Seal of Approval
-
Another minor update. Added shoulders and part of the belt. Also cleaned up parts around the neck.
ps. thanks Stingray
-
major update: Started work on the hair..
-
Im in awww everytime you do a new project. Great work. now you just need to do Orchid from the first Killer Instinct
-
Another update:
-
Brilliant work Felsir...
-
Added the other leg...
-
I'm amazed at how well people on this board can vectorize art.
Felsir, awesome work.
-
Wow! That is unbelievable!
Your subtlety and accuracy are really impressive.
-
Thanks for the kind words!
-
did you do the art in your siggy also --- its really cool

Yep, you can see the WIP thread here (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,16195.0.html). My sig is the same as my cab's marquee (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,17204.msg139844.html#msg139844).
-
Added most the outlines of the character.
-
A minor update. I'm adding details on the glove.
I have less time to draw the next few weeks so updates come less quicker :(
-
so you think you're doing this slowly now? You're blazing through some vectorization. You'll have like 20 characters done before PixelHugger makes 4 cuts on his cabinet :)

Too late. ;)
-
I had some spare time, so another update:
-
I'm back online after a short break (I moved to a new house (hurrah! more space for my arcade!)
so back to the drawing stage... minor updates: finished the legs, added knife
-
Looks good.
-
holy crap, is that ever good. Wish i had the patience ontop of time to do that. I have a tendency to lose it on fine detail.

Ditto that. And add skills to the list. Man I love seeing Felsirs stuff come together.

Hey Felsir...
Would you mind vectorizing the Dangerous Collection... no biggie.... just volume 1. I've got $50 bucks with your name on it and you can have ALL week. That's right! And if it goes a day or so into the following I guess I could wait. ;)

... the final result! Completed the gun, added the long hair, modified the eyes slightly. I might tweak the hilighting in the hair further lateron, but for now I concider this one 'finished'. I'm quite happy with the result! :D

Some JPGs for details
-
Another detail JPG and a larger JPG (click it to open in 813x2046 resolution).
-
Wow, mighty fine stuff. Interesting how the gold waistband leads into a form-fitting (very tight) pant crotch. :)
-
Yeah, but what Felsir isn't telling you is that her clothes are actually on a seperate layer. ;D

For the fashion side of things, I blame J. Scott Campbell
@Thenasty: some things are best kept private ;)
-
Very...VERY impressive work Felsir ! :)
-
Very Very nice work. As alwasy.
-
I can see I am out of my league. This is truely amazing work, but can she cook? ;)
The attention to detail is excellent.
Thanks for sharing it with us.

Word around the campfire is that she likes her meat raw and bloody... ;)

Who cares if she can cook, I'll freakin cook for that, if she was real...
-
Felsir, where'd you find the original piece of art for her?

I found it here (http://www.paintedanvil.com/campbell2.html) (note that the original artist of Red Monika is on the same site here (http://www.paintedanvil.com/madureira.html) but I rather have her the way Campbell draws her).
-
Very cool stuff!
