I have tried and tried..but no luck..I think I am missing something simple. I know that I need the neogeo.zip file. But does anyone know what size it should be? Or what files it should contain? I have found many ranging in size from .12 to several MB's. Also I have read conflicting statements on where and how to place it (in Mame roms? zipped? unzipped?) Any help is greatly appreciated..it is driving me nuts! :P

It needs to be placed as a zip in your ROMS folder with everything else.
If you think you have the wrong version, use ClrMAMEPro to audit your files:

Thanks I appreciate the fast response, I will see what I can do with that... I have been trying to figure out clrmame as well, just haven't got it all together yet. I was hoping I could tell by the file size..at least I now know to leave it zipped and put in rom folder...so again thanks :)

The size variation is tied to the version of MAME and some BIOS' on the net are for NEORAGE and other NEO*GEO specific emulators.

OK, never even considered that some would be for Neorage..etc.
I guess I need to spend my time working on and learning Clrmame.
Thanks for the info. ;D
