Ok, good news is I was able to adjust my 50" PTV Mitsubishi Monitor for this large arcade game. The TV Repair man gave me a ridiculous price for the 3 CRT tubes, which he claims are on their last legs. Once this thing finally fails, can I hook it to a newer rear projection TV? It has a red, blue, and green co-axial type cable running to the monitor. The specs on the monitor are Medium resolution 24kx60. Is it possible? Do they still make sets that work this way. Rear projectors are coming down in price, don't need HDTV, PIP, etc. Looks like with the wooden cabinet, any type of rear projection appx the same size could be made to work. Game is a riot, but at 883 pounds, once the monitor fails, I am not sure my back will hold out getting it back out of the basement! Might as well keep it working and sell it with the house!

Did you ever find out any information on this - I am looking at getting a manx tt cab that has the mitibishi 50" monitors in them that might need replacing ... would love to find a solution... even if its lcd with some sort of scaler or conversion boards...??? any help would be invaluable and much appreciated..

there are quite a few ways around this, certainly easy with non lightgun games
wells gardner actually make a 50" lcd panel that is multisync but it will be cheaper to buy a ptv or lcd and use a cga to vga converter
very cheap to mock up a test using a standard vga monitor so you check the results before buying a big lcd
