Title: Resolution/screen position issue...
Post by: Captain Bingo on December 09, 2004, 01:31:09 pm
Hi all,
I moved all my mame and mamewah stuff over to a new computer:

Pentium Celeron 2.6
ATI 64 MB Radeon 7500 All-in-Wonder  connected S-video to a 27" TV
(with the latest video drivers for XP from ATI.com)
Windows XP pro with Service Pack 2

and my troubles are:
1) When i run mamewah, the layout i had working on the other computer now is centered in a window on the screen and shifted down and over, so I can't see everything
2)  When i run certain games i.e. Tempest  the game screen seems like it's zoomed in or something, and moving the trackball/spinner moves the screen around like pan&scan

I have tried every resolution in XP, mame, and mamewah, and nothing fixes it.   Suggestions?  I spent a long time making it all look right, and thought (that's the problem ;-) ) that i could just move everything over.    Oh, i forgot, that i also upgraded mame from .88 to .89 too.  Thanks.

I turned off the hwstretch and it is now working.  I then read an article here about using hwstretch but increasing the screen resolution, so i tried that and now i don't get any video on the TV but i do on the monitor.  When i expand desktop to both monitors, i can see it on the tv, but can no longer duplicate the desktop on both screens.  What is the setting to do that?
