Hello All......
...well I finally got my nerve up and redid my cocktail cab that I had built from an Arcadedepot.com kit last November.
I originally ran the cabinet via an external PC....but it always bothered me to do so; especially when I occassionally had to move the cabinet around.
Well I took the PC apart (a lot easier than I had feared)....and to the cabinet itself I added a large (92mm) PC fan to vent the hot air from the cabinet.
I maintained the original microswitch (on switch from PC) and the indicator lights set up by the power plug so I can easily turn the cab on and monitor drive access.
To save space I eliminated the CD Drive but added a USB extension cord to allow me to update the hard drive with my external hard drive (or USB Key) if I want to (which I would connect to the USB cord).
All of the electrical components are plugged into a bit strip gadget that turns everything on/off when the PC is turned on and it's in the cabinet itself.
End result....self contained cabinet with one powercord!...whoo hoo!.....
Enjoy the pics!....ask any questions.

Is that a gap I see between the monitor CRT and the bezel? Is there any way to close that gap? Just curious. Galaxian - classic!

when the tops closed...there's no gap
from your picture above, I see a gap. I see wood-grain showing thru between the top of the monitor and the bezel. And the top is closed. Sure looks closed. Is that an old picture?

judging by that monitor, you've got some hard-arse rats living nearby ;)

CompUSA....it was 5 buck (maybe a bit less). They have them in their "PCmod" section.
