Title: Getting Colour Problems
Post by: Led Zeppelin Rock on September 26, 2002, 08:21:51 am
Hi

I was using ADVV for AdvMame and I noticed that the colours on the Arcade Monitor has gone funny, ADVV normally shows up red but it is more of a dull green now, also white is like a murky green/grey. I am using AdvMame through a J-Pac so I will re-connect everything, but if that does not work, what is likley to be the problem, and how hard would it be to fix???

Thanks, Simon

Check your wiring.   You may have one or more colors swapped.

Also, if the monitor is from an older Nintendo arcade unit, you may need a video inverter.   Nintendo used Negative Logic Video in their VS Series, and Playchoice-10 systems.     All the arcade companies used positive logic video.

Also, try a different game, or a real board.   If it does the same thing, it may be a bad monitor circuit.
