So I've got ym Hanatrex Polo 2 all up and running. Output from ArcadeVGA in Windows is fine and Mame32 looks a treat. However I'm pretty sure this isnt the best way to go in terms of software so I'd like to know what people would recommend I use in terms of a FrontEnd (MameWah,Advancemenu etc )and version of Mame (Mame32,Dmame,nonamemame,adbancemame etc). All I'm interested in is getting the games to look and run as close to the originals as possible, and I'm pretty sure Mame32 isnt best for this. I'm not scared of setting up and tweaking software so any recommendations will be gratefully recieved. Oh and the Polo 2 is supposed to run at 25Khz aswell as 15Khz if that makes any difference.
Many thnaks

As you know that mame under a frontend gives a better result than
mame32.Belive me you can never find a real exitement of original
arcade boards while you are using a computer. :-\Any way
personally i suggest you to get a newer version of DOS MAME(windos command line mame).Kymaera and mamewah are looking
Jungle's king. ;)

Of course I use MAMEWAH....but try this, Dragon King, Kymaera etc...
I would recommend my 'AVGA MAME Res. Tool' though - this will create MAME ini files for you (specifying resolution for each game), which are FE-independant.
I just use (& recommend) standard commandline MAME from www.mame.net.

Thanks for the replies. Minwah I ran your res tool. I didnt delete any resolutions coz I was unsure as to what needed deleting (if anything). It created the ini files for each game whi are now all in my Mame directory. Is this right ? I've run several of my favourites and they all appear to fill the screen nicely, even Mortal Kombat whic I thought has a slightly weird res.
