I understand that you can copy xbox games to an xbox hard drive and play them. Can someone explain to me exactly how this is done? Before I FTP the xbox game over to the hard drive does it have to be in an ISO format or is it a simple process of ftping over the entire directory structure off the dvd? Do XBOX games read in a PC's DVD?
Sorry Im a newbie at this... thanks

Install evoX,there is a game managment menu where you can rip store bought games on xbox HD.I use slayers auto installer myself and pretty sure other dashboards have game mangment features as well.Your pc won't read xbox games but if you download a game or whatever it usually comes in iso format and you can use xiso to extract the raw files then FTP them to your xbox HD.

NO

YES
Assuming you have a modded/softmodded Xbox.
go to your evox dash and ftp to your xbox with your PC.
create a folder called "insert game name here" on your desktop,
insert the game disk in the xbox drive.
ftp to the location of the game (D:/ i believe)
then drag and drop the contents of the Xbox DVD drive to the folder on your desktop.
once its completed, simply drag the folder back to your xbox partition that you use to store games.
then you can use XBMC to goto the .xbe and start the game from there..
at least thats how i do it..

Seriously...install DVD2Xbox. Here is the process once you're using that app.
- Start DVD2Xbox
- Put the game disc in the Xbox drive.
- Press A to copy disc to harddrive.
- That's it. There are no more steps. You're done. It takes about 5-10 minutes to copy the disc to the harddrive.

I use HDDLoader and it's very simple. It's easy enough for my 6 year old son to copy games onto the HDD also.
Ihave DVD2Xbox, but HDD loader gets the job done better IMO. Everyone has their favs though.
