Title: How to mount the EYGO 27" READ!!
Post by: electricd on September 23, 2002, 02:51:03 pm
Ok, I bought the EYGO 27" monitor, and love it.  The problem was how to mount this sucker!  Its huge, and the metal chasis is weird.  I didnt want to build a mount out of wood and remove the screen from the metal chasis so here is what i did.  I cut 2 13.5 inch sections of 2X4.  Next I used my slot bit for my router (same one I used for t-molding) and cut a slot on the narrow side of the 2X4 sections.  I cut the slot about 3/4" in on the boards.  I then pressed each side of the metal chasis into the a slot on each of the 2X4s.  Then all that was left was attaching the 2X4's to the monitor platform with wood screws.  Thats it!  The monitor is secured tightly in the 2X4's and they are screwed into my platform.  A great and EASY way to mount these suckers.  I will try and get pictures if anyone wants them.
