WHY do people have pictures of their pcs on their mame project sites? surely we all know what one looks like by now, and besides which what does it matter since its not going to be seen anyway.
almost as pointless is seeing pics of your new buttons/ joysticks etc straight outa the box.
you want your site to be informative on the subject of mame and the cabinet you build, so forget the pic of a pc. you might as well post a pic of bill gates. i mean, MAYBE theres someone who doesnt know what he looks like...
-
and just in case that someone is reading this...
-
I just gave that fella a chunk of change for my xbox and copy of Halo 2...
As for the concept of the computer pics, I dunno, I don't mind it. Kinda like if I took a Chevy and actually made it cool by putting a Ford engine in it, I'd like to see a picture of the engine before it goes in the chassis. The "horsepower under the hood" as it were.
(Oh and yes, I'm just trying to get the GM crowd worked up, it might lead to as big a debate as the election!) 8)
-
Engineswapping brands of V8 engines just to be cool is stupid.
Now, I could see doing it if you had an engineless 36' Chevy and you already had a nice rebuilt Ford 302 laying around.

yeah, mebbe if its all shiny and polished and has chrome bits hangin off it. but a pic of a plain pc case?
PS: putting a ford motor in a chevy is just plain wrong!! never the twain should meet!! fords are good for something though. those 9" diffs are pretty tough... ;)
PPS: although im sure at least ONE model a was improved greatly by dropping a 350 in it ;D
-
Yeah, that is because there was always a surplus of Chevy engines around since the REST of the cars would fall apart quickly! ;D
My Ford has 270,000 miles on it.

MOPAR RULES ;D

forget ford, chevy or chrysler. you need something bigger than that. you need allison!!:

There are different ways people mount computers in their cabs. Mine is just a PC sitting in there. Some people mount a board and run DVD drives in the coin door. I don't know about you guys, but I don't expect you to check out my page. I expect my family and friends to do it, and they think it's amazing that the PC is in there.
I also don't mind it, and sometimes I actually enjoy it. That being said, I don't think I have any pics of mine..cuz it's nothing specail. :)

My whole cab isn't really anything special compaired to a lot of the ones on the examples page. But to people I know, it's the baddest thing on the planet. :D

cc?!?!
A car's motor should be measured by Cubic Inches or in some cases Cubic Dollars.
-
well then, its about 60 cui ;)
and that allison in the link i provided would be about 1000-1500 cui...
-
PS: putting a ford motor in a chevy is just plain wrong!! never the twain should meet!!
I have two Fords ('57 T-bird and a '39 coupe) that are sitting on late model Corvette suspension, does that count? ;) The T-bird is betting big block Ford power, though the '39 will likely get a Corvette motor.
-
Dude, even in America we have been measuring engines in cc's for over 20 years, no one realized it though because we instead call it liters and move the decimal point over.
-
y'see? it's not so hard to be metric!! oh, and the convention is (generally) under 1 litre, measure in mL or cc's. ceptin fer motorbikes...
-
Alrighty then, she's just shy of a liter and probably produces all of 30 HP. The power! The ultimate power!!! ;)

Dude, that is a weed whacker engine inside a plastic boat.
I did a 30 mile daily commute for 3 months on a 70 cc motor scooter (in the middle of the midwest, in winter) because my car died. My good old 1983 Honda C70 worked like a champ, nearly killed me from exposure a few times though.

Reminds me of the scene in Dumber & Dumber

My philosophy is, if it reaches my body, it's big enough ;)

I just felt like mentioning that my Chevy has 284,000 miles on it and I still use it as a work truck, and its still going strong. Thats with the original engine and trans, if you were wondering. It's about how you care for a car that keeps it going. Chevys and Fords both break if they aren't cared for and both last if they are.

This one was built about 2 blocks from where I live (the owner showed up on monster garage, and this monster was shown briefly). It used to be a vintage fire engine. The pictures don't really illustrate how big this thing is in person.

you know, for such a large country the US seams like such a small place. i actually stayed overnight in grants pass, oregon twive about 8 years ago :). i don't suppose the blastolene special existed then, but it's still a cool coincidence...
