Title: Standard Vs. High Resolution Monitors
Post by: Dave Wave on October 29, 2004, 12:38:21 pm
I am trying to decide if I should use a standard (CGA) or high resoution (VGA) arcade monitor with mame. My question is what happens when you try to run a high resolution game (eg paperboy) on a low reolution monitor? Is there a way to get low resolution games to look "right" when displayed on a high resolution monitor?

Any comments or thoughts would be appreciated....

If you can afford a bit extra go for a multi frequency monitor like the betson imperial, probelm solved.

So by being a multi-frequency monitor...it will change resolution...old games look blury (CGA)...newer games look sharp (VGA)...is this the idea?
