Think about it - $35 dollars x the total number of troops deployed = a drop in the ocean of the daily expenditure in Iraq. Then theres family members chipping in to buy body armour for their loved ones. It's unbelievable that troops should be sent to war so ill prepared when Haliburton squanders the taxpayers money the way it does.

I'm against the war but acknoweledge an obligation on any  commander in chief to ensure his troops are protected from the elements and enemies as well.

Perhaps you two will realize the "political" aspect belongs in the forum, not this thread.  ::)

So, of the 200+ views of this thread, Dexter, you thought it to be your duty to attempt to turn this into another political debate?

YA! BAD Dexter! Where do you get off bringing politics into this forum!

SUPPORT OUR TROOPS - PROJECT CAMELBAK

BOOST MORALE, SHOW THEM WE CARE

I guess you geniuses can't figure out that our troops don't need these.  It is a gesture of appreciation and support for our troops from the people that care about them and what they are doing.

If I insult you, will you leave this thread, too?

Nope, not looking for a debate. Just pointing out that lives have already been lost because of lack of necessary equipment and armour plating. I'm actually agreeing that soldiers should have the necessary kit. The British army in Iraq have the same problems. Theres something inexcusable about sending people to risk their lives and then increasing the risk while big business creams off the profits. By the way, I'm  anti war, but no nations army should be put at greater risk then they have to be as a result of them following orders to fight a war.
