i got a good old-fashioned pyramid scheme letter in the mail a few weeks ago. just rediscovered it in a pile of other stuff. thought i'd check up on it and found a few consumer afairs sites referring to it. so i've printed out one of their warnings on it and i thought i'd send that back to the guy. oh, and a little something for his troubles ;D (and yes, i was inspired by the p-p-p-p-powerbook). i'm just sad that i couldn't make him lose some money for his eforts. oh, well i have sent his original letter to consumer affairs- they even give you a reply paid address :)

Sweet!! I've always wanted to do something like that. Like, get a fake subpoenia to a U.S. District Court and stuff it in all the envelopes instead of the cash.

man, i didn't even think of that!! could have written it so that it tells him to present himself to the nearest police station (",) . sure he wouldn't fall for it but it would give him a few sleepless nights wondering 'what if?'
