I'm about to order a few parts for my Dreamcast and I'm considering ordering from either www.lik-sang.com or www.play-asia.com
I'm wondering whether anyone here has ordered from either of these companies and if so what your experiences were.
Play Asia seems marginally cheaper but I want a mod chip and only Lik Sang seems to sell those.
Perhaps I'll order from both.
Also both companies sell VGA adapters. The Lik Sang one is cheaper but the Play Asia one can switch between VGA and TV mode. Is this extra feature worthwhile or should I save a little money and get the Lik Sang adapter?
I'm also considering buying a Super Joybox 5 for using Playstation pads with a PC. Both Lik Sang and Play Asia sell them but I get the impression that Lik Sang are selling a later version. Can anyone verify this?
Thanks in advance.

I haven't ordered from either of these places...but remeber hearing people were a little shocked at the shipping costs.
I don't understand what "mod chip" you want for the dreamcast, but a simple boot disc will enable you to play any import or backup. Thats the great thing about DC, no mod chip needed.
All VGA boxes have a tv/pc switch, nothing special there. Cheaper to get one on ebay.

I don't know about playstation to dreamcast converters (I've
always had problems with them in the past). They have some on ebay (even the super joybox 5) but they still seem quite expensive.

I've ordered from both and both experiences were fine for me. It's a little weird as I don't think I got any tracking numbers for either place (which is why shipping was so cheap on my orders), which made me a little suspicious, but I got both orders from each just fine. I'd certainly do business with them again (and actually will).

Same as Vita, I havent ever had any problems with them. And I dont think I have heard anyone who has.

Thanks for the replies guys.
Four recommendations is good enough for me! I've just placed an order with both companies. In each case the shipping seemed very reasonable to me. However I only ordered low weight items.
As usual I spent far more than I planned. Isn't that par for the course with this hobby!
Dave_K, the mod chip is purely for convenience. It only cost $10, less that the price of many boot disks.

PM me when you get it installed. I'm curious how it will turns out (how easy/hard it is to install and use...and limitations). ;D Thanks!

Sorry, I've been away a while so I may be too late.
I bought 2 of these: http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?category=29&products_id=527& (http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?category=29&products_id=527&) from lik sang. Paid the extra for courier delivery and got them within 3 days. Work really well, I use them mainly for PS dance mats but I've tested them with pads and wheels too with no problems. If anything, the PS wheel I have (Jordan) is better than the McLaren DC wheel I have, less of a dead spot in the middle and slightly more reactive.
What I'd like now is the reverse, a DC to PS adapter so I can use DC controls (specifically my DC arcade stick) on the PS1. Anyone know if they're available or if its possible to hack a PS1 pad with a DC extension cable socket so I can still unplug for use on DC?
