Title: How do I configure MamWah for an arcade monitor?
Post by: exibar on August 14, 2004, 01:20:43 am
I don't want to blow my 25" WG arcade monitor with the wrong resolution.  So I figured I'd keep a separate power switch for the Monitor, and have MameWah play a sound once it loads.
My question is this, how do I acomplish this feat?  Can MameWah adjust resolutions to be used on an arcade monitor?  I have an ATI 7000 Video card (actually it might be a 7500 now that I think of it).

I'd like to use other emulators in my cab, so I don't think arcade OS will work for me.  Will it work with other emus too?

  thanks all!

I just answered this by email...for the benefit of the board:

You must be able to display Windows on your arcade monitor to run MAMEWAH...so if you can't do this you can't run MAMEWAH at 15khz...

Is it possible to setup mamewah to run at 15Hz if so how?? as i use mamewah in a cab via Arcage VGA and the quality is a little fuzzy ??

Yes, if you can run Windows at 15khz...

If the display is fuzzy it sounds like you are probably running at 640x480 (interlaced).  Simply use a layout which is set for low-res (there is 'Classic 368x240' in the Layouts download at my site).  I run this res. and it looks sweet :)
