Title: Question about D9100
Post by: atog on July 22, 2004, 07:18:32 pm
I just got my new wells gardner 19 inch monitor and unpacked it and plugged it in for a test run.  It initially came up with the factory "no input detected" message, so it powered up and the tube works.  Looking good so far.

Once I booted up the pc, the "no input detected" message went away, so I know it has input, but no picture is displayed.

I re-plugged in my other monitor and made sure it was set to 640X480, low color depth, and 60hz refresh rating, then plugged back in the d9100.  Still no picture.

I am about out of my limited trouble shooting ideas.  I did inspect the VGA cable itself, and on the inside male end from the d9100, there are 3 pins missing, is that normal for a vga?  My svga regular computer monitor has 1 pin missing.  I suppose its possible there is a problem with the wells gardners vga cable, but that seems pretty far fetched to me.

Any ideas?

Got it, I started poking carefully around inside and one of the connections was loose.  Tightened it up and it's working good now.
