Title: Radeon 7500 - Svideo To TV problem
Post by: big_garryb on July 20, 2004, 05:10:30 am
Hello,
Ive been off the boards for a while and the cab has grinded to a hault due to getting engaged and trying to buy a new house..........

ANYWAY.... my problem, i have a 25" Mitsubishi TV with Svid. My PC is running with a Radeon 7500 (windows XP).

When all hooked up and switched on..... the PC starts to boot up. But everything is in Black and white. I have bought a lovely gold connector svid cable..... so that whould be fine..... what can my problem be???

Im sure i have the latest drivers etc, and im borrowing a pc monitor from work to check if it works in colour with that.... but as time is really been chopped short any help is greatly appreciated. i did have it working many moons ago on my tv in the house. but the cab is being built in my mates garage, and i really dont have time to take bits home to test.

Thanks guys - as always help appreciated.

If I had to guess the problem, I'd say that your computer might be outputting an NTSC video signal. See if there is an option in the graphics card configuration to change it to PAL.

Displaying NTSC is most likely the problem.

In the display properties / Advanced, goto the displays TAB and select the TV option from the 4 monitors there. IIRC the second last tab has the option the change the format. I think you need to change it to PAL B.
