My GCSE Deutsch is a bit rusty but I think something like:
Is it possible to change the names in MAME's gamelist?
for example 1942 (set 1) to 1942
1944 Loop Master to 1944
You can't easily change the name of 1944, since '1944: The Loop Master' is the games full title...but you can get rid of stuff like '(set 1)' using some frontends...I know MAMEWAH can do it, chime in other FE devs... ;)

I haven't used MAME32 for a loooong time so I could be wrong but I don't think you can change game names...use Windows commandline MAME and a FE...
BTW I think my translation was better! :D

In Kymaera, in the gamelist creation tools, you can click on a game entry, and change it's rom name, or description. The description field is the Game name that comes from MAME. The problem is, you have to do this one agme at a time. That's not too big of a deal for a short list, but for a big list, you would need some sort of Macro.
