Title: Bizarre games...
Post by: JoyMonkey on July 10, 2004, 11:04:21 am
Here's a recent Japanese GameboyAdvance release, looks pretty darn cool!

It's called Oshare Wanko (http://releases.pocketheaven.com/?system=gba&section=release&rel=1552)!!! Hilarious!
Probably the strangest boxart I've ever seen! Anyone else come across any weird looking games lately?

Looks like the webhost doesn't like you hotlinking their image.  It's not showing up.  I'm just thankful it's not substituting something bad!

Sorry, my bad (though it shows up fine here). Now you can see the beautiful boxart in its full glory!

Oh my!

The reason it shows up okay on yours is because you've visited the site, and it's pulling the image from your cache.  Since I've never been there, nothing shows.  The only reason I know there's an image there @ all is I saw the placeholder as it was downloading.  Since nothing appeared, I snuck a peek @ your post code.

All I see are dogs in clothes, Japanese letters, and a lot of pink.

It reminds me of that song "I think I'm turning Japanese".
Since that song was really about a guy confused about his homosexuality.

Just browsing through the games in MAME and I ran into this shooter game

Zunzunkyou No Yabou (Japan)

You must battle deadly... Ballet Dancers, Flamenco Dancers, Dancing clowns. (that was as far as I got but I'm sure more fun to be found)

Have you played the Dress-up dog game?  It looks great.  Where can I find out more?  DO you really dressup dogs? It's like America's Funniest Home Videos for the gameboy!

I particularly like "Boonga Boonga", the game which has the sole aim of sticking a plastic finger up the rectum of one of eight characters, such as the ex-girlfriend and the paedophile....

I wonder when this game is going to be emulated in MAME, and what sort of attachment will be needed to play it...

Yeah, I agree with Erik on this one... I've heard many times that song was about "flogging the dolphin" not homosexuality.

BTW another weird game is Captain Tomaday for the Neo Geo.  But when you truly think about it I would have to say that the Super Mario Bros. series has to be one of the most whacked out of all time.  C'mon two plumer brothers fighing gumbas and koopa troopas, eating mushrooms, throwing fireballs from flowers, flying around with a racoon suit???  That's just nuts man!!
